Pipe Heat Trace Cable Calculator
Heat tracing on a pipe is most efficient when the pipe is properly insulated. The heat loss from a pipe depends on the pipe size, external insulation type, thickness of the insulation, and overall temperature gradient. For any heat tracing application, use this calculator to first determine the expected heat loss.
Heat tracing can then be applied to the insulated pipe to offset the expected heat loss. Heat trace must be wired appropriately and as per manufacturer instructions.
